Voyage Manager can turn your travel data into a detailed itinerary for every traveller. Our system uses this information to track where they should be at any given time, and where they are due to go next. It can supply pre-travel briefings and real-time risk alerts tailored to each stage of a trip. It can also alert security staff if incidents occur near where staff are meant to be.
Passive tracking does not require any traveller interaction
Tracking presumes the traveller is following their itinerary
Travellers can receive alerts while travelling, and guides pre-travel
We use your travel data to build up a detailed individual itinerary for each traveller. Voyage Manager can draw data from a huge range of sources, including flights, hotel bookings and car rentals. It is compatible with all major booking engines, and can work with any travel agent. It can also import email bookings and support manual entry.
Our passive tracker uses each traveller's itinerary to track their trip's progress. It knows where they should be at any given time, and where they are due to go next. We supply important safety information such as pre-travel briefings and real-time risk alerts. The system warns security staff if incidents occur near the traveller's likely location.
Passive tracking is simple and unobtrusive as it does not rely on input from the traveller. Travellers also don't need to worry about using a particular tracking tool or app. Tracking continues to work without cellular connectivity or internet access.
This approach to tracking provides only limited accuracy. The system knows the location of a given traveller in the abstract. It knows where their travel plans say they should be. But it has no way of knowing where they actually are at any given time. So it cannot account for missed flights, route changes or other deviations.
This limitation means security staff rely on theoretical data if an incident occurs. They won’t know where personnel really are until employees confirm their location. This problem is inherent in the nature of passive tracking, not unique to Voyage Manager.
Passive tracking is the most common type of travel tracking on the market. Indeed, many of our competitors only provide this sort of itinerary-based tracking.
At Voyage Manager, we wanted to offer firms a much greater degree of reassurance. That's why we introduced options for active travel tracking and automated travel tracking. These two higher levels of service supplement our passive tracking offering. Both provide greater insight into the actual whereabouts of travelling staff. Active travel tracking checks in with them at intervals to confirm their progress. Automated travel tracking goes still further by tracking their location in real-time.
Please get in touch so that we can run through our various travel tracking options in more detail, and discuss their fit with your business needs. We would be delighted to give you a demo of the Voyage Manager system.
