Most of all, the price kept climbing while the product stayed much the same — the latest hike was another 10%, from £50 to £55 per person. Paying more every year for the same thing isn't sustainable.
So we built our own. Mia Accounting focuses on what we actually need, and because we build it ourselves, we can add features quickly when something's missing — instead of waiting and hoping.
There's a bigger point here too. We believe in the democratisation of technology: large providers will increasingly face competition from smaller companies that deliver tailored solutions at a fraction of the cost. Mia Accounting is our take on that.
